New to the forum. I set everything up according to the mouse macro on utube. It will automatically record the 2nd alert after I did the first one. Then you will see the pointer going over to the button where you set an alert up, but the rectangle "create alert" box will not show up like it automatically did on the 2nd one. When I did the log for 5, you can see that it goes through all 5. When I check to see if the alerts recorded, only the first 2 record. The first one which I did and then the automatic one. They only record as long as you can physically see the large rectangle "create alert" box showing up on the screen. You can tell that the mouse macro is going through the key strokes and you can even see that it hits the set alert button but that rectangle "create alert" box just does not show up on 3-5. One time it did it on the 3rd one but only one time. Any help will much be appreciated. Thank you!

Hi mannaSorry but I don’t understand what problem your having. Firstly, you said you set everything up according the macro on YouTube - what YouTube video are you talking about and what did you set up? What is the ‘create alert’ box your talking about?

Thanks for replying. Sorry, I was not on the computer over the weekend. The utube video was "Tradingview Multiple Alerts from Watchlist Automated" Dec 23, 2020 8 min 53 seconds long. Set up means I did everything according to the video exactly. Set up might have been the wrong words. Not sure if you are familiar with tradingview.com. The create alert box is when you click the little clock on the top of a chart, a large rectangle box (the create alert box) appears where you can create an alert so when certain parameters that you have set are matched, the alert goes off. The macro is supposed to duplicate the keystrokes so you don't have to set 50 (or whatever number) alerts by hand which is very time consuming. I am supposed to physically see the create alert box each time the keystroke comes around automatically to set up each alert. You can see the keystroke coming around each time to highlight the "clock" button but after the second time around the actual "create alert" box does not show up on screen even though you can tell the keystrokes are automatically working. If that large rectangle create alert box does not show up on screen, the alert is not recorded. Let's say you put on the log for 5. It will go through the keystrokes for all 5 alerts, but only the first and second one will be recorded. Of course the first one because that is the one you physically do in order to make the proper keystrokes so the macro will record it. If you physically see the large rectangle create box showing up on screen, the alert is recorded, success! If it doesn't, the alert is not recorded. It always shows up the 2nd time around and the alert is recorded. Only one time it showed up after that which caused the alert to be recorded. So, like I say, the problem is the large rectangle create alert box most of the time is not showing up on screen even though you can see the keystrokes are working. So it is not doing what its supposed to do and that is... recording the alert. I have re-done things probably 5 times to no avail.

Hello,
My main problems with the macros I created are typically in one of these categories 1- don’t wait long enough before clicking (sometimes the web site takes longer than usual to be fully ready 2- clicking position changes (sometimes done by websites that don’t want bots, or could depend on content size) 3- first click in a window selects the window when you are in another program, so I either need to first click on the window title bar, or switch to that window with « »keypress alt+ | tab
I am not familiar with that site
Hoping it can help

in the video posted, the last step before the he stopped recording is to press the down arrow button on the keyboard. before you play it, make sure your watchlist is already set and the first ticker is selected
