Hi, im testing your software and its really great, i want to keep it running on my windows VPS (im using chrome), the problem is that when i disconnect, it looks like MMM also stops working, why is that, can it be fixed? Would be perfect to have it running without having to be connected threw remote desktop.
It looks like the mouse and keyword gets disabled when i disconnect, MMM is running, but not doing anything.
Thank you.

Hi pablom I would love for this to work but it just can't with MMM. When MMM runs it makes calls to the operating system (driven by the .NET framework) that rely on handlers that exist only when a user is logged in and have an active session. It looks like the mouse and keyword gets disabled when i disconnect, MMM is running, but not doing anything. When you disconnect your RDP/VPS/ 'insert remote management software here' and the active environment is gone for that MMM running instance then MMM will not be able to make those calls to the operating system it needs. MMM will still run but will fail to do any actions. Can this be fixed or changed? No it's firmly embedded into the core of the application. I suggest you look into scripting with powershell, ansible, or something else that doesn't require a graphical environment to function.

Oh... i think this is a deal breaker for me, i will still use it on my PC for some stuff, but for VPS i will have to look for something else, can you recommend any software that do something similar but will work with VPS? That would be a huge help, thank you!

And can i connect from one VPS, to another with MMM? IF i will disconnect from the first VPS MMM on the second one will stop working? Maybe i could install something on the first VPS to keep the windows active?

Oh... i think this is a deal breaker for me, i will still use it on my PC for some stuff, but for VPS i will have to look for something else, can you recommend any software that do something similar but will work with VPS? That would be a huge help, thank you! TL;DR - I don't think your going to find a tool similar to MMM to drive macro's that works without a current live desktop. It depends on what exactly your trying to do. If you want to automate user driven actions then you need something that can interact with a current 'live' environment. MMM is perfect for automating user actions but needs a 'live' environment to do so. If you don't need to automate user specific actions then I would ask why you need a tool like MMM in the first place. There are plenty of remote management solutions to administer VM's. If you've just got a couple of VM's and can't use MMM due to the whole 'no live environment' thing, then i'd look at some basic scripting with powershell and go up from there. And can i connect from one VPS, to another with MMM? IF i will disconnect from the first VPS MMM on the second one will stop working? Maybe i could install something on the first VPS to keep the windows active? Yes, this can be done. MMM has a few remote like features. Have a look here www.turnssoft.com/remote.html and here www.turnssoft.com/conditions.html#remote. Maybe i could install something on the first VPS to keep the windows active? Yeah maybe. I found that keeping windows active through something software driven (with a tool like MMM for example) doesn't work as I thought it would. I'm not sure why (something to do with user hooks to the OS) but I found that scripts I've run on loops to avoid idle events (like the screen saver triggering) just don't work the same as when a user (a real person) interacts with the desktop. ^^^ If someone out there can tell me why i'd appreciate it

Solved If i connect to VPS2 from VPS1 threw remote desktop, and disconnect from VPS1, then it works, it looks like for a second it stops or something, but thats not a problem, just added WAIT 10 second before running the scripts and it works perfectly.

I realized that i can't minimalize the Repote Desktop windows or MMM will stop working.

I realized that i can't minimalize the Repote Desktop windows or MMM will stop working. Have you considered a VNC desktop connection over RDP? It might actually work to keep the hooks available MMM needs to the desktop.
