I keep getting the above error when the task scheduler tries to run a scheduled macro. My macro will run when I load it into the Mini Mouse Macro program and press play. But there seems to be something wrong with the way the macro is named because my task scheduler can not find and load the file.
This is what I put in the program/script box of the task scheduler:
C:\Users\josep\Desktop\MiniMouseMacro.exe
This is what I put in the arguments box of the task scheduler:
/m /e “C:\Users\josep\Desktop\MiniMouseMacros\OpenAndPlay1.mmmacro”
Can someone please help me with this?

Hello Phil,
First I really appreciate that you took the time to try and help me.
Second, when you say try a simple task defined as...Do you mean put that in the task scheduler?
I tried that already. I opened the task scheduler, clicked create a basic task, then when it got to the part where the program/script box opened up I put:
C:\Users\josep\Desktop\MiniMouseMacro.exe
and then under that in the arguments (optional) box I put:
/m /e “C:\Users\josep\Desktop\MiniMouseMacros\OpenAndPlay1.mmmacro”
And I also try it without the /m /e part as well but I still got the same error.
The macro files that I created also have the same logo as the Mini Mouse Macro app so they appear to be saved in the right format.

freddy Can you paste the full output of the error please. It should be like this:
"There was an error. Unable to find and load the file: "C:\Users\josep\Desktop\MiniMouseMacros\OpenAndPlay1.mmmacro"This error in MMM means it simply can't find the file or that the command line arguments are wrong. Its more likely though that the .mmmacro file is not getting passed as a command line argument. What this means is that task scheduler has loaded minimousemacro however something is wrong with the commands passed to MMM.

Hi Steve, This is the error message I received: Error loading with arguments There was an error. Unable to find and load the file: "C:\Users\josep\Desktop\MiniMouseMacros\OpenAndPlay1.mmmacro" Thanks. freddy this error only occurs when MMM can't open the file or can't find the file. Are you sure the file exists and the MMM can read it? Have you tried, for a test, running MMM from the command line? For this test make sure you've got no macro's loading with your 'macro queue', and turn off the setting 'Load Last Saved Macro' if you have it enabled. Your using task scheduler so I can assume you know how to open the command line and change directory to where the minimousemacro.exe executable file is. Do that.. Then run this from the command shell: type "C:\Users\josep\Desktop\MiniMouseMacros\OpenAndPlay1.mmmacro"This should type out the text of the file. If this types out the file then we know the file is on disk and readable. Then run this: minimousemacro.exe "C:\Users\josep\Desktop\MiniMouseMacros\OpenAndPlay1.mmmacro"If this fails then we know its something with MMM and the file. Create another macro and try the test again.
Let me know how you go. I'm keen to see where this goes. Cheers, Steve.

Steve,
I know how to open the command prompt app but I'm not sure what you mean by "change directory to where the minimousemacro.exe executable file is.".
I went ahead and copy and pasted "C:\Users\josep\Desktop\MiniMouseMacros\OpenAndPlay1.mmmacro" into my command prompt and hit enter and then the Mini Mouse Macro app open up and played the OpenAndPlay1.mmmacro file. After that I put the following into my command prompt:
minimousemacro.exe "C:\Users\josep\Desktop\MiniMouseMacros\OpenAndPlay1.mmmacro"
And then the command prompt gave me this error: 'minimousemacro.exe' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program, or batch file.
After this I created a new macro file that I named Test1 and I ran the two test with the command prompt and I got the same results as above.
