How to wait for a window to exist without fixed wait time

Hi all,

in my Macro I'd like to wait for a window to exist. The scenario is that I'm starting software from the desktop, and want to click a button in the software as soon as it has started. However, it takes a bit of time for the software to start. I don't want to specify a fixed wait time, because it would need to be unnecessarily large in order to be sure that the Window exists by the time the Macro continues.

I do not understand how to create this functionality with the condition options that MMM provides. I can check for a Window to exist or not, but if it doesn't exist (YET), how do I wait? Pausing the Macro requires user input to resume it. Ideally I would like to have a 'WHILE' type condition.

Does anyone have a clue on how to achieve this?

What you need is the CONTINUE (www.turnssoft.com/conditions.html#continue) action with WINDOW TITLE (www.turnssoft.com/conditions.html#windowtitle)

1 | IF | WINDOW TITLE | Untitled - Notepad | EXIST | CONTINUE
2 | RUN ACTION | MESSAGE PROMPT | The window title was Found!::Found!::0::Information
In the example above we wait for the new notepad document with the window title 'Untitled - Notepad' to open.

When MMM finds the window title we go to line 2 and run a message prompt.
