Hi Steve,
Is there a character I can use when doing command select window by name. at the moment I have to type in the very long name of a window that has 1 number in it that changes depending on what you are doing in the program.
LIVE-2017EE: EEAUS My Work Place Name Aust [AUD] > 1000 MY WORK PLACE NAME (6) - QAD Enterprise Applications
where you see the number 6, this number changes but the rest remain the same. If I could just do something a long the line of LIVE-2017EE&*& I'm using &*& as what I mean by wild character but you would probably use something else.
Cheers Zeak.

Hi zeak I released 8.2 this morning but before I did I had a quick look at the source behind the 'select window by name' function. Basically, it's not going to be trivial to program something in to do any sort of filtering or wildcarding.
Thanks for the idea though.
Keep em coming through
