Hello Steve,
Can STRING variables be multiline with <CRLF> in them?
If so, can I concatinate then by code witz a <CRLF>? Howto write?
Could we iterate through a multiline String like:
FOR | EACH | STRING IN | %CustomStringVariable% | DO
Like LINE IN with a file.
Regards

Hello Steve,
A similar Question: Can I typ in Funktion Keys when I edit a Keypress item.
I know I can record them like tab,enter,f1 to f12 etc.
But when I enter them after some string they get normal letter-output.
So do the special keys only work when they are alone on a keypress item ?
Regards

Hello Hans,
I just tried and it works. I recorded a keypress for "a", then modified it to be F11. Works in Chrome (toggle the menus on and off)
1 | 74 | 81 | 530 | Keypress F11

Hello, But thiss do not work: 1 | 74 | 81 | 530 | Keypress Teststring F11 Regards Hans-Peter What you have there hpw is this: Line marker 1 Mouse X pos 74 Mouse 7 pos 81 Wait 530 ms and then, Output the keypress "teststring F11" philranger had this: 1 | 74 | 81 | 530 | Keypress F11 MMM treats F11 as a special char. MMM has a few of these special chars as output text strings. These are notable when recording them and consist of SPACE, ENTER, LEFT, DOWN, and other function and special keys.

Hello Steve,
I have understood the conzept. The special keys only work when alone on a keypress-line.
But back to topic: Can a string variable be multiline? See first post of this thread.

Regards Hans-Peter Hi hpwYes strings can be multi line when they are read in from file with input from file or from the clipboard. Can they be concatinated with a CRLF, yes - but (yes there is a but unfortunately) not through Define String Variable. They will have to be fed in another way - like through the CLIPBOARD and INPUT FROM FILE. MMM can handle the most basic of variable manipulation at the moment. Its getting better though. Future releases are going to add a lot more functionality for this.
