Hi Hesed,
Can you shoot through a lot more information on your issue. Specifically:
- What version of MMM are you running? - What version of OS are you running? - By "change key bind" do you mean edit 'hotkeys' from the settings page? - By "software just freezes" do you mean the software crashes or becomes unresponsive? - Is there any information surrounding the issue that you think could be contributing to your problem? Cheers, Steve.

Is the 'On Top' option enabled? (bottom left corner of main macro window).
If it is turn it off. It could be that the dialog to edit the hotkey is blocked by the main window. Reset the Mini Mouse Macro SettingsI recommend refreshing the settings. Settings - Uninstall - Check 'Remove Registry Entries' - Click the bin - Then close the program and open it again. This will clear the current settings.

I've run into similar issues if I'm trying to Add Condition, for a Message or Input prompt, and I've set MMM ON TOP to ON, the dialog box to input the Content, title and delay time show up under MMM editor, and I can't switch to it to add information. My workaround was to hit [Enter] using default values, empty string for the content, title, and 0 for time... and then turning off ON TOP; but, the issue is similar.
Yes, since the dialog box has precedence and focus... MMM being ON TOP [X], can be an issue! :-)
Steve, is there a way that if MMM has ON TOP checked, and a condition or situation causes this, that MMM can detect it, and minimize MMM before displaying the dialog boxes, or in this case, the Menu area selected, that way it MMM retains the ON TOP setting, but is temporarily minimized, or force the dialog or settings menu to the top, and take precedence over ON TOP setting?

Short answer, no. 'On Top' is on top and will on top of everything. The solution is not to enable on top unless you really need to be on top.
