first of all - GREAT product - thanks loved it so much had to buy it when editing a long mouse click routine, it's hard to see what each line does. my idea is that when you select/highlight a line, it would trigger a small X on the screen so you can see where it is you are in the routine

Hi MrClicker,
Welcome to the Forum and congrats on your purchase.
I also think this is a good idea, currently I just put a RUN ACTION | STOP under the click that I wish to check but your idea would allow you to check multiple clicks very quickly.

currently, i right click on the action and chose "go to" this way i can figure out which click is which, but yeah, it makes the process far slower

But yes if you could enable so that is does an on screen prompt when you click the line then it would still save a lot of time.

are there plans to implement this ? or anything like this ? or does anyone have any ideas on how to run a macro in such a way that would allow a control step by step to allow for fine tuning and editing with out adding many stops-and-wait to it ?

Have you had a look at the debug options www.turnssoft.com/conditions.html#debug?. We don't have a step-by-step playback option but I like it. I'm not sure how I would control the step just yet but I like the idea.

I had a look at the code and added in another debug option for stepping through each line. One by one. It will be in the next update minimousemacro.proboards.com/thread/400/update-coming-next-mouse-macro. Thanks for the idea 1 | RUN ACTION | DEBUG | Step Playback'Step Playback' will step through line by line when enabled pausing the macro at each step. Its like someone is pressing the 'pause' button after each line. I think this will really help with debugging. It can toggled on and off like i've done at line 4 and 7 below. 1 | RUN ACTION | MESSAGE PROMPT | ::1::1::OK 2 | RUN ACTION | MESSAGE PROMPT | ::2::1::OK 3 | RUN ACTION | MESSAGE PROMPT | ::3::1::OK 4 | RUN ACTION | DEBUG | Step Playback 5 | RUN ACTION | PLAY SYSTEM SOUND | Question::SYNC 6 | IF | FILE | C:\pics\mmm.png | EXIST | SET TITLE | exists 7 | RUN ACTION | DEBUG | Step Playback 8 | RUN ACTION | MESSAGE PROMPT | ::3::1::OK 9 | RUN ACTION | MESSAGE PROMPT | ::2::1::OK 10 | RUN ACTION | MESSAGE PROMPT | ::1::1::OK

But yes if you could enable so that is does an on screen prompt when you click the line then it would still save a lot of time. I just use mouse movement, which generally leaves a footprint. In click intensive routines. I'll write code where I use a string and replace the actual click with a mousemovement. Set a booleean to check this, and write quick, duplicatable Message prompts, to stop after each mouse movement to see if it's in the right place. I've automated some online games for some, wrist wrenching, carpal tunnel activities. Some game manufacturers, just love to shift the location of the mouse clicks by just enough on the screen to make the clicks unreliable. Fortunately probably due to coding requirements, they only have a few sets of these screens. Or it's because of some special activity which forces things to move around. Either way, I often need to create multiple sets of mouse clicks and use PIXEL capture to see which screen I'm on. But, when I do a mouse movement it leaves ghosts... I've turned this into a feature... and at least the last movement is visible.. I make the prompt conditional which simply says... Click for %ACTION%. Is this in the right place? I use two modes, one boolean which switches between clicks and movement, and another to turn off or on the messages. I admit this is for a click intensive area that can change... but, it's handy to see where I'm clicking. If I know I click something.. during the debug.. I just click manually after the movement, noting changes in position where needed. That aside, there is a command which will allow you to write on the screen in any location. Since I don't use it I don't recall it off hand.. But, I'm sure zeak proably knows... Steve shows this feature, and displays the time on the screen. Hope this helps some. :-) Chip
