It would be fantastic if the MMM action "RUN VIA CMD /C" can handle command line piping. An example as follows:
21 | RUN ACTION | | | | RUN VIA CMD /C | title=runscript & echo %STRING% | sed s/John/Mary/g | clip
This will allow MMM to perform parsing of text via "sed" or "awk" without the inconvenience of writing additional external scripts. The Windows built-in "clip" command will bring the results back into MMM via %CLIPBOARD%. This way, everything can be handled within MMM itself. Much easier for portability and the backup of MMM Macros. Thanks!

Nice one. I didn't know about the native windows 'clip'.
Yeah i'll look into this for the next update.
