Hi,
I'm trying to implement MMM within our organization, and to simplify the installation process as much as possible. I'd like to have the Quick Launch entries pre-defined for the user, so they don't have to create them manually.
My first thought was to export the Turnssoft\MiniMouseMacro registry key, then search-and-replace to change all instances of username to %username%. This imported to the registry ok, however upon invoking the Quick Launch macro, it was unable to find and load the file C:\Users\%username%\...
Any suggestions?
Thank you, Stephan

Hi Stephan, I think the problem you may be having is the %username%. You need to change this to the actual user name. The registry is keeping the %username% text value and not the variable username value. The registry export .reg can be edited easy using any text editor like notepad. Because the .reg format can be read by text editors it makes it easy to script languages like powershell or even batch to work with. I suggest using powershell to script the changes to the .reg file. Something like this example for a find and replace script stackoverflow.com/questions/17144355/how-can-i-replace-every-occurrence-of-a-string-in-a-file-with-powershell
