I want to run a simple 3-line macro while working in a text editor. I created the macro, saved it, and assigned CTRL-m as its hotkey in the /Settings/Quicklaunch window. Then I saved it.
I have Mini Mouse running, highlight a word in the text editor, hit CTRL-m, and nothing happens. If I use my mouse pointer to click on the playback button, of course, focus is moved to Mini Mouse and the macro plays, but not in the text editor where I need the keystrokes to run.
I'm stuck, please help!

1) try to add a line at the beginning to switch focus to your text editor:
11 | RUN ACTION | SELECT WINDOW BY NAME | Notepad
Just replace the name Notepad by the name of your editor.
2) try to use a more simple quick launch key e.g. F9 to test if it is working.

Macro's assigned to the quick launch can be enabled and disabled. Often people forget to enable the quick launch by turning the item 'On'.

Hey guys, thanks for the info. At this point my needs are extremely simple. Mini Mouse is quite powerful, but that involves a learning curve I've decided is a bit much for my needs. Thanks though, and I'll definitely be back if I get into more complicated stuff.
